Salon 180 East has been the dream of owner Carissa Derby since she was working at her aunt's successful hair salon in Ohio during high school. Carissa has been focused on fullfilling her dream of opening the ultimate retreat for pampering in Western Massachusetts. Carissa's fun loving personality and creativity, matched with her sharp intellect makes her stand out in her field and has helped her find some of the best stylists to create your perfect hair, nails or makeup.
The Salon is housed at the 180 Mill buliding. a reclaimed mill that has been artfully restored to be a shining example of mixed use industrial, office and residential space. We have great views of Mt. Tom and Lower Mill Pond as well as the bike path and Millside Park.
When you come to Salon 180 East you will be taken away in a modern salon with great natural light and be pampered and rejunivated. This is an experience unlike any other, a true 180° from a typical salon.

Carissa Derby - Owner: Carissa is a certifed Deva curl stylist and excels at cutting all types of hair. She also is a skilled colorist working with her knowledge of chemistry to find your perfect formula. While hair is Carissa's passion she also enjoys finishing your look in the mani/pedicure room.

Jane Fitzgibbon- Jane has been a top stylist in Western MA for the last ten years. Her impecable eye for colors and tones can create your perfect look. She is an expert with color and a master stylist.

Corinne LeMoine- Corinne's sweet personality will set you at ease. She is a haircutting educator who is also certified in Deva curl. Corinne's artistic side comes to life in the nail room!

Deirdre Murphy- Deirdre's calming presence will help you create your perfect look. She has years of Deva curl experience. She is an amazing colorist as well.

Alexa Christiansen- Let Alexa's fabulous rock and roll style help you create your own personal style. Alexa is a longtime Redken colorist and amazing makeup artist.

Kalya Mendrek-Kayla is an up and coming star at Salon 180 East. Kayla is not only a fantastic hair stylist, but also a licensed esthetician.

Jennifer Sicotte- Jen has been a Redken Elite stylist for over a decade in the Northampton area. Jen's knowledge and entusiasm is a great addition to the salon.
Sonya Diabo- You can find Sonya in our beautiful nail room. She specializes in acrilyic and can take care of all your nail needs.
